Remote Systems Administration Screen

Access to the Remote Systems Administration screen is limited to users with Super User access.

In order to commence sending LInX agency records to a remote, third-party system, the Super User must first set-up a remote system profile.  The Remote Systems Administration screen allows Super Users to add, edit, and delete profiles.

Purpose of a Profile

The primary purpose of a profile is to define the following parameters for each remote system:

Ø          Where the export file will be sent (FTP host internet address of the remote system and port)

Ø          What formatting standard the remote system requires the LInX agency data to follow, and

Ø          Whether the export file must be compressed prior to transmission to the remote system.

After a Super User configures the remote system profile, the LInX Region Manager will be able to activate the profile for an agency.  Once a profile is activated, an export ’feed’ of LInX data to a remote system can start. Thus, configuring a profile is the first step in exporting LInX records to a third-party, remote system.

Navigating to the Remote Systems Screen

A Super User can access the Remote Systems screen by selecting Remote Systems from the menu bar located along the left side of the screen.  The Super User will automatically be taken to the Remote Systems screen.

Remote Systems Table

When the Remote Systems Administration screen is first displayed, the Remote Systems table may not include any records.  A new row will be added to the Remote Systems table for each remote system profile created by the Super User.   The remote system profiles will be listed in the table in alphabetical order.
